Frequently asked questions

What should I expect from my first Standard Treatment?

Your first Standard Treatment will be performed between 20 to 40 days after your Initial Treatment. This allows us to provide you with added protection against those unwanted pests and after this first Standard Treatment we will continue to treat your home according to the frequency selected under your Service Agreement. Note that some infestations may require more frequent services. If you are still noticing pests between services, please contact us for a reservice at no additional cost.

Do I need to be out of my home during/after my appointment?

Aptive has carefully selected products that do not require our customers to leave their homes during treatment.

Why am I still seeing pests after my Initial Treatment?

It’s common to see more pests following the Initial Treatment. Pests are coming in contact with the treated areas and signs of pest activity may be indicative of the treatment working. Some pests tend to get more active before they’re completely gone. If you’re still seeing pests after 14 days, just give us a call. We’ll send someone back to treat your home at no additional cost.

How do I know that the service was performed?

Our service professional will text you before and after your appointment to keep you up to date on the treatment. Once the treatment is complete, you will receive a text with details about your treatment, and our service professional will answer any questions you may have. You may also see the history of all your treatments on the Customer Portal. Please click here for a direct link to the portal.

Do you treat attics and crawl spaces?

Our Service Professionals will only enter attics with fully finished flooring. For crawl spaces, they can only enter if the space is 5’ or higher. In certain environments, our Service Professionals reach in and treat from a safe distance.

Can my pet be outside during treatment?

While our treatments, both in and outside your home, meet applicable standards and follow all guidelines for the appropriate use of products, all pets should be secured and kept away from the treated areas during your appointment. Our Service Professionals will not enter into fenced areas where a dog or other pets are visibly present.
